LOW USE OF REFRACTORYLOW USE OF REFRACTORY

The need to use refractory material in this type of plant is minimal and now is taken for granted; our design has reduced it to the indispensable minimum.

In plants with integrated grate-boiler system refractory has still to be used in the furnace and in the post-firing zone, where it is a must to protect the water tube walls with a lining

In order to reduce refractory we have in fact designed a cooled frame solution to replace the lined top cover, which was used for convection heat exchanger units in the past.

Water coming from the economizers, before going to the drum, is used as cooling fluid, with an increase in its temperature of a few degrees.
The system is designed so that it does not create vaporizing effects in the water inside the frame tubes

Cooled frames allow the fitting of the shaking system outside the flue gas zone and a very quick extraction of the heat exchange units: in fact it is only a matter of disconnecting flanges and remove four tie rods.
In a traditional system instead, when inserting the heat exchange unit, coil must be aligned with the shaking equipment, which is mounted down below and in the flue gas zone.

Corrosion of the hammer driving system is also completely avoided.
